Franco-Lebanese Chamber of Commerce
1950 – 2024

74 years of commitment in promoting French-Lebanese economic relations.

The Franco-Lebanese Chamber of Commerce, created in 1950 is one of the oldest bilateral Chambers of Commerce in France.

Its creation was the work of French and Lebanese businessmen who wanted to maintain and develop economic and commercial ties between the two countries. They thus demonstrated their attachment to the linguistic and cultural tradition that their countries share on both sides of the Mediterranean.

• 1950-1954 | Joseph Khadige, President of the Lebanese Traders Association

• 1954-1960 | Robert Tabouis, President of the General Wireless Telegraph Company (CSF) and of the French Radio-Electric Company

• 1960-1965 | Halim Malhamé, President of the Port of Beirut

• 1965-1985 | Edouard Saman, Founder of a dried fruit trading company in Marseille

• 1986-2014 | Jacques  R. Saadé, President of CMA CGM

• 2014-2024 | Gaby Tamer, President of G. Tamer Holding

• 2024-present | Maxence Duault, General Director of ESA Business School
